So yeah haven't posted in like a year, blah blah blah.
Sitting in David Miner's Intro to Databases class. 7 weeks down and only 1 assignment has been due. This will pick up next week.
My last econ class is today, and I start ethics next week. I'm not so much looking forward to that class, it isn't that I don't like writing, but I like being able to turn in class work that has the ability to be checked and verified as being the correct answer. I don't like being graded on my opinions, as mine usually fly in the face of what people think should be done.
I'm also taking Java this semester. I like the language, but the professor has a draconian grading policy for late work. The problem with that, is that the class has two calendars, one of which is wrong, but has the the links to the assignments and the relevant resources. The other is correct, but does not have links to the assignments, and has to be looked up on google calendars. I've gotten burned by this twice now.
A bunch of people are leaving at work, which means that I will get more hours, and I am debating on how many classes to take. I could go full time, and when they look for new leadership, I could take that job. Although I'm not sure that it would be a good idea as far as my sanity is concerned. It would look good on my resume, however.
Microsoft needs to implement .mkv support into the xbox360. It is a part of the divX standard and makes total sense for it to be there. It fixes the need to stream from an external source that might not work properly.
Any way, that's all I can think of to write right now. More later.

I want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.
A few things that I'm thankful for:
The fact that my father's health is better than expected.
My Mother having found a job.
Being employed.
Jaime.
The time I got spend with Mickey.
Seeing my Sister grow up.
All my friends who are out there.
Enjoy the day and tell your families that you love them.

It always end up this way, you wake up and the first thing that you read is depressing.
My Great Grandmother, Mickey, died last night.
For most people a great grandmother is either someone that they have heard of in stories, or someone they meet when very young. Mickey was anything but typical, she raised me. She pushed me to be who I am. She was always proud of me. She was my support system. Even at 26, I talked to her almost every day. There really isn't much that I can say, except that I love her, and I will miss her.
And I love all of you. I'm dealing with family business today. if you want to call me, try and make it after 9 pm est.

My first thought was that it couldn't happen to him. Then maybe that he faked it. This man was one of the funniest people to ever be born. His comedy was simple; tell the truth.
I'll miss him.

So the last few weeks have been fun. Went to the Georgia Ren Fest, took my first trip to an Ikea (Fuckin' Huge!), to a Lush Store (Smelled really good). I also got back into 40k as the new edition is coming out next month, I'm currently waiting for my 4th ed DnD books to come.
I had to put a new belt in my Focus, this included getting a new belt tensioner put in, which was far more costly than I wished, and not my electrical system light is on in my car. This kinda pisses me off. If I only worked, exclusive or was a student it would be easy, but as I do both it is impossible with my scheduling to drop my car off for long periods of time. I think that I will take it to the tuning point on Saturday, and see if they can do a diagnostic on it.
Money is kinda tight, as car troubles, soon to be health insurance, and the Ren Fest have tapped me. I was fine until we got cut back in hours at work. I've lost about 10 hours per week. 400 dollars less per month really makes a difference.
I want an Xbox 360, mostly because I have a hard drive and a wireless card for one, I just need the Live Arcade Model. I wanna play rock band and Settlers of Catan on live.
I'm thinking of sitting out on Trivia for a while. I could reclaim some time for class work, and last night the Hosts wife was really rude about presenting a dispute that the wait staff had with us. Apparently they think that we haven't tipped, but we always do. Personally, I think that the idea of tipping is really stupid. I would rather raise the cost of restaurant food and pay the staff better, or take the hit as the restaurant owner. Tipping as a culture is dumb. Let me reward you for doing your Job. It's a nice touch sometimes, but usually it is just a customer throwing their money around hoping to get a break on something. I have worked in food service, but not as wait staff, so feel free to debate me.
Jon and Chris and Cliff and Blair, I challenge you all to a game of Apocalypse. All of your armies vs. The entirety of my Dark Angels. All 8000 Points of them.
Currently I sit in Dr. Walsh's class and all I wanna do is smack him in the head and throw feces at him. Yes Ladies and Gentlemen, his class enrages me enough to revert to lower primate behavior.

With my genetic health, I'm pretty sure I'll make it to 100 or older. The men in my Family either drink themselves to death, or die of old age.

Please download this and watch it.

![]() You're laid back, friendly, and even a bit of a bum at times. For you, life is too short to spend your time angry at the world. But while you don't take life too seriously, you're deeper than people realize. You're very reflective, and a few key topics (like social justice and love) are very important to you. |
